New Student Achievement Management Software - Exceed IEP

The district has approved the new student achievement management software called Exceed RTI and Exceed IEP. As a result, the Encore upgrade has been cancelled in preparation for the end of the school year and to begin work on the new application.

Exceed IEP is web-based and designed for efficiency. The following is a summary of things to come:

The software has been redesigned using modern technology.
Data entry is reduced to half the time.
Switching between forms is instantaneous using the tab interface.
Locking takes 15 seconds or less.
Tools allow the district faster updates and changes to forms and drop downs.
Integrated help screens are built into forms and the software.
Ongoing training will be available at both the district and site level.

Encore will continue to be available with both systems running simultaneously until schools and data are converted.

Encore Exit Form Process

Please fax all Encore Exit Forms to 619-725-7367 (forms should not be sent to Encore On-Site Support). Forms can also be submitted through school mail to: Ed Center, Annex 2 Attn: Encore Exit Form. Please do not mail AND fax as this creates duplicates.

Encore Upgrade Scheduled for March 6th, 2010

The Encore upgrade is scheduled for Saturday, March 6, 2010, from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Please do not plan to use Encore during this time. We anticipate the system will be available Sunday, March 7th.

A summary of items in the upgrade are:
- An updated look; new color scheme.
- Reports have a different look.
- The 'Attending School Roster’ report is now located under the 'Client Reports' link. An updated Compliance Report job aid will be available after the upgrade.
- Resolution on some issues
- Interim Placement Review, IEP p.1 – reflects Interim IEP dates
- Supplemental IEP, Purpose of meeting field on IEP p.1 no longer clones the previous IEP meeting type
- Student Primary and Home Language contain language information
- Anticipated improved performance.
- Ability to attach larger files and more than five attachments.

Reminder: Please lock any open events if the meetings have been held. Best practice is open events should be locked within a week after the meeting.

As a precaution, please print draft forms in events that are open.
